What we have been up to...
THIS WEEK!
The days seem to all mesh together some weeks and last week was one those weeks. It was SO HOT so we stayed inside a lot. I got some packing and organizing done for the move and we watched Elizabeth for Ellie so she could go play with her mom. It was fun, my kids LOVE Elizabeth. Peyton was really protective of her while Brody tried to point out all of her facial features and steal her soother and blanket. I also did some sewing, I'm totally in the crafty mood these days and want to get some stuff made before i have to pack up all my fabric.
Brody was trying to help himself ...

I found the boys eating ice cream, they pulled up a chair and everything.
She was totally into the bumbo chair,
she loved watching the boys run around her. Peyton had her smiling so much. It almost makes me want another one....someday!
We train them young at our house,
the boys actually fight over this AWESOME shark vacuum i got. It's basically a glorified broom, LOVE IT!
THE SEWING BEGINS....
I made this cute vertical rag quilt for a girl in my ward. I had the fabric sitting there staring me in the face so i thought i better do it before i get everything packed. Because after we move who knows when i'll bust out the machine again.
These quilts are so EASY.... and so forgiving.

It's a sad day...
Today my mom left and flew back to Canada. She had been visiting for the past month and we really enjoyed having her. And not because she did all my laundry, organized my kids drawers, cleaned the bathrooms, watched our kids while we went to California and helped me everyday with my 2 crazy busy boys. OK maybe the last one was the real reason we are going to miss her.
We did a lot of shopping (mostly for fabric), sewing, eating and swimming while my mom was in AZ. Peyton and Brody are already asking where Grandma is.
On the way to the airport Peyton says" maybe i can go to Grandmas house, that's a great idea." I do wish we liveD closer so he could go to Grandmas house.

HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!
To all my fellow Canadians.
I can't believe i am missing the festivities like, the Raymond parade, yummy food, the road race and good company. All I've been thinking about today is Shannon's baked beans, oh how i love those beans. I went for a run today to make up for the road race i missed and while i was running i kept thinking baked beans...baked beans! Hmmm....maybe i'll be making baked beans today.
So i hope you all are enjoying today with out our little family. I know my 2 little boys would have enjoyed the Raymond parade and seeing their cousins, hopefully next year!
Here are a few pics of last summer when we stayed in Raymond.
