I am so excited!

My mom is coming to visit today. I kinda guilt tripped her into coming to because i need HELP! My mom is so good at getting things organized and puts everything in the right spot, i am not. I need her!
So she gets to kill 2 birds with one stone, spend time with her favorite grandsons and help out her favorite daughter (just kidding Becky).
So my mom and i always tell each other that we are going to eat healthy and lose a few pounds when we're together BUT it never seems to happen. So since I'm already on a diet i told her we are both on a diet, so i hope we can both say we lost a pound or 2. I'll let you know. It's going to be super hard since Halloween candy is already out.

Our new love...

ARIZONA!!!
I have to say it didn't take us long to feel like Gilbert,AZ was our new home. We absolutely love it here. I love our area, ward and neighbors. Everyone has been so great to us no wonder it felt like home so fast.

Brett found a job with a dental group here and seems to be enjoying it, I'm so excited for him. He loves practicing dentistry without 10 professors behind his shoulder. I'm sure his patients and assistants just love him, he is so easy to get along with and is very charismatic. I love this guy and i so glad he loves what he is doing.
Bretts first day or work!

There is this great club house in our subdivision and it has this man made beach for the kids. It is the greatest thing ever. I feel like i'm at a resort every time i go. Along with this awesome pool they have a lap pool,hot tub, workout room, tennis courts and everything else you can imagine. Peyton wakes up asking if he can go swimming everyday!

So here is our house that we are renting, and yes those walls are purple. I'm starting to not notice them as much anymore but i definitely wish they were a different color! You will see our lovely furniture in the toy room, hopefully Brett can work enough that we can get some real couches in there. But it's a great little house for our little family and i love it.....We are welcoming all visitors!

Summer Fun

Oh ya i ran the Raymond road race, Lindsey Baldry and i decided the night before the race we would do the 5km. It was my very first race...and i survived!

More Canada day pictures...

OK so if anyone is still checking this thing i am finally posting again. I know it has been forever but i'm a busy girl. We have been down to the cabin twice, playing in Raymond and Lethbridge and of course we had to up to Calgary to see Grandpa Sefcik (and go shopping at lululemon).

The kids are having a blast in good old Alberta. It has gone by way too fast, i think Peyton actually might miss this place. I am looking forward to moving to Mesa as soon as possible, and Brett is enjoying his forced vacation.

Summer in Alberta...

Ok i admit i have been a bit of a slacker these days with my blog. I have a number of very good excuses but the that's not the point. We have been having a blast in Alberta, we are staying with Brett's parents out in Raymond. But we have been all over the map, we went to Calgary the other day to visit my dad and we go into Lethbridge almost on a daily basis. Brett is heading down to Phoenix on Monday to talk to some guys about a job...yeah! And then we will meet him down in Montana to spend some time at the cabin. I hope we get to see the Olthius families, we love you guys!

I forgot to tell about the cute funny stuff Peyton did when we were on our trip. In the morning after a well needed night sleep i was taking Peyton to the breakfast buffet in our hotel. As we were walking down the hall some guy came out of his room behind us and Peyton looked back at him and yells "OH NO...RUN!" Good thing the man laughed.

So we decided to take a little family trip to Palmyra New York to see some church history sites. The car ride was great the kids were good we managed to keep them occupied for the 5 hours. But as soon as we let Peyton out it all went down hill from there, he turned into a different kid. He stopped listening, he wanted to run everywhere, and worst of all he had melt downs in every public place possible, i wanted to die. I hope I'm not the only one that can say, that the sacred grove isn't so sacred with a 2 year old around. Brett and i felt so bad for everyone around us we had to leave. Luckily our friends watched Peyton the next morning so we could walk through and enjoy it.
Peyton loves water so much that any chance he gets he is hanging out by the water. We probably stayed by this stream for a good 30 mins. before we pried Peyton away.

This is the next day we found the same stream just down the road a little.

"The Karren Family"

Peyton, Peyton, Peyton....

Peyton Karren is a rowdy little guy. And when he gets with his friends they sometimes get out of control. The other day we had Tyson Smyth come over and play, and those little 2 yr. olds really know how to scream. And if there is one thing i hate it's screaming. I don't know how many times i asked them to stop but it was enough.

We finally decided to take the kids to Mc Donald's to play. It didn't matter how loud they were there they just blended in with all the other kids.

Peyton and Tyson play so good together, we sure are going to miss him! The Smyth family moved back to Calgary far far away from us.
